WWII suspends football for one season

Murray State Teachers College becomes Murray State College
1948 -
Murray State College helps form the Ohio Valley Conference on
February 27-28 in Louisville.

Men's Basketball gets first national ranking on Feb. 27 at #20.

Racers get their first NCAA Tournament win with an 78-75 upset
over North Carolina State.

Women's Golf has first season
1998 - Rowing becomes varsity sport
1998 - Regional Special Events Center opens, Racers post a
68-65 win over SIU in first game on Nov. 14
1999 -
Racer basketball is seen by a capacity crowd of 8,602 at the RSEC,
the largest home crowd in history, against SEMO.
